Effective Date: 10 April 2026
This Author Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the relationship between the Platform operator and individuals providing services as independent Authors through the Top-Essay platform (“Platform”).
By registering as an Author or accepting orders through the Platform, you agree to this Agreement.

1. Role of the Platform
The Platform operates as a managed service that assigns tasks to Authors, manages workflow, and delivers finalized results to Clients.
The Company:
- does not employ Authors
- does not guarantee volume of orders or income
- provides payment facilitation and administrative support
The Company remains responsible for client-facing services, including order processing, quality control, and delivery.
2. Author Eligibility
To register and operate as an Author, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- provide accurate registration information
- possess relevant qualifications and skills
- comply with applicable laws and regulations
- complete identity verification when requested
The Company reserves the right to approve or reject Author applications at its discretion.
3. Author Verification (KYC)
To ensure security and regulatory compliance, Authors may be required to provide:
- government-issued ID
- proof of address
- contact information
- banking or payment details
Verification may be required:
- before accepting orders
- before withdrawals
- during compliance reviews
Failure to complete verification may result in account suspension or payout restrictions.
4. Services Provided by Authors
Authors provide:
- research assistance
- editing support
- academic guidance
- structured written materials
Content must be prepared in line with the Platform’s permitted use principles, including reference, learning, and research support purposes.
Authors must not encourage academic misconduct.
5. Order Assignment and Acceptance
Orders may be assigned based on:
- subject expertise
- availability
- performance history
- platform assignment and matching processes
By accepting an order, the Author agrees to:
- complete work professionally
- follow task requirements as provided through the Platform
- meet deadlines
- maintain quality standards
Failure to meet requirements may result in penalties or account restrictions.
6. Payment Model (Escrow)
6.1 Escrow Holding
Client payments are held by the Platform in escrow until:
- the work is delivered to the Client
- the Client review period expires
6.2 Client Review Period
Clients have 24 hours to review delivered work.
If no dispute is opened during this period, funds are released to the Author balance by the Platform.
6.3 Disputes
If a dispute is opened, the Platform reviews evidence and determines resolution at its reasonable discretion.
7. Author Compensation and Platform Fee
Authors receive payment after deduction of the Platform commission.
Platform commission: 10% of order value
The Company may change commission rates with prior notice.
The Platform retains the right to delay or withhold payouts in cases of disputes, compliance reviews, or suspected violations.
8. Withdrawals (Author Payouts)
8.1 Eligibility
Withdrawals are available to verified Authors with accounts in good standing.
8.2 Limits
Withdrawal limits:
- Minimum: €5
- Maximum: €9,000 per transaction
8.3 Processing Time
Withdrawals are typically processed within 1–3 business days.
Processing times may vary depending on payment providers or banking systems.
8.4 Payment Methods
Withdrawals are made to supported payment cards (e.g., Visa / Mastercard) or other available methods.
8.5 Fees
The Platform does not charge withdrawal fees unless stated otherwise.
External financial institutions may apply charges.
8.6 Declined Withdrawals
Withdrawals may be declined due to:
- incomplete verification
- insufficient balance
- compliance checks
- suspicious activity
- incorrect payment details
- restricted jurisdictions
9. Author Responsibilities
Authors must:
- deliver original content
- avoid plagiarism
- meet deadlines
- follow instructions
- maintain confidentiality
- communicate professionally
- comply with laws and policies
Authors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
The Company does not provide tax advice.
10. Prohibited Conduct for Authors
Authors must not:
- submit plagiarized or copied content
- use tools or methods that compromise quality, originality, or compliance with Platform standards
- attempt to establish direct contact outside the Platform
- bypass Platform payments
- share confidential information
- manipulate reviews or ratings
- accept external payments for Platform orders
Violation may result in account termination.
11. Intellectual Property
Upon payment release, the Client receives a non-exclusive right to use the delivered work for personal, educational, or professional purposes.
All underlying methodologies, know-how, and internal processes remain the property of the Company and/or the respective contributors.
Authors warrant that delivered content:
- does not infringe third-party rights
- is original
- is lawful
12. Confidentiality
Authors must keep confidential:
- User identity
- instructions and materials
- delivered content
- Platform information
Confidentiality obligations continue after termination.
13. Account Suspension or Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate Author accounts for:
- policy violations
- poor performance
- fraud or abuse
- chargebacks
- compliance risks
- inactivity
Termination may result in forfeiture of unpaid balances in cases of serious violations.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for:
- loss of income
- missed opportunities
- payment delays caused by third parties
- indirect or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed fees retained by the Platform related to the disputed order.
15. Independent Contractor Status
Authors acknowledge:
- they are not employees
- they receive no employment benefits
- they control their own work methods
- they are responsible for taxes and insurance
Nothing in this Agreement creates employment, partnership, or agency relationships.
16. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
Disputes shall be resolved in competent courts of the Czech Republic.
17. Changes to Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
